First of the Year

Yesterday afternoon, I threw my Daiwa Sol on a G Loomis MBR782C IMX and tied on a small Rapala x-rap 08. After a few casts in my pond, I had a hit, but he got off right at the shore (I was taking it easy on the hooksets as I was using braid).

After about 15 minutes I hooked up with another one and got it in. I was just thinking, "How did I catch one of Bama's fish?!" hahaha, he was about 8" long, but at least it was a bass!

Fished for another 15 minutes and picked up the dropshot with a 1/8oz tube on the bottom and hung another small fish on the tube. Can't wait to get out to the local reservoir if the wind and rain ever stop!
