Well I went ahead and purchased a couple of the new Curado E series recently. They are all E7's. On the end of one of the spools, by the brake system, the spool is gold, while the other one is silver? Is there any difference in these, or is just a newere and older stock thing?
Also, I would like to tear these down and relube them as one feels smoother than the other, and I would also like to flush the bearings. I already have alot of experience disassembling BPS, Quantum, Pflueger, Abu Garcia, and Daiwa reels, but this is my first Shimano. When you open the braking sideplate the plate does not come completley off, so does this sideplate come off at all? Is there anything special to look for or to be careful about when I am disassembling and relubing them? Thanks, Ryan
