Default Started with a kicker!

Buddy just bought a used 17.5 Tracker with a 40 Merc 4 stroke EFI and wanted to take it out for the maiden voyage and asked me if I'd tag along.....silly question.

We decided to launch in Occoquan river so that if we did have any issues we wouldn't get stranded out on the main river and could use the trolling motor to get back. Besides an issue with the depth finder connection everything ran smoothly. It's a nice boat and it catches fish!!!! Here's the first and second catch of the day for me.

Probably the biggest I've ever caught on the Potomac....in the 5.5 to 6 range. Check out the tail.....65 degrees and a bloody tail....Spawning???

Second was long and skinny and was in the 3.5 range.

Caught a couple more cookie cutters in the 2-2.5 lb range. My buddy caught a limit of the same and we both threw back a couple smaller fish. Overall thing started slow but the RC Wake and Chatterbaits did the trick. You have to love the Potomac River.....
