Probably not the best rod but my favorite I had. Went out yesterday trying to get my fix. Had my setup zoom fluke, circle hook, pflueger spinning reel, 7'0" Berkeley bionix rod. Looking for some topwater action.3 hours nothing. Hit an old unused cement boat launch skip the fluke big swirl, twitch twitch..... bam, monster on! Rips off twenty yards of drag, I'm using 6lb. mono. I'm fighting lines rising, hes gonna jump. I try to keep him down.rips off a bunch more line, 3 more jumps. This is a battle. He gives me another shamu show. Snap, slack, splash, NO! Broken rod, monster gone. Still can't believe it.
