Got out with the Major over the weekend on the radiated mudhole. Started off slow but hooked up with a Bama bass on a tried and true Yummymoto.


Headed up lake and found warmer water and a bunch of baitfish. The bait like to hang out around the bridges on this lake...and so do the bass. The marina that we launched from was having a big bass contest for the month. At first I thought it might be close (it wasn't).....4lbs 5oz was leading.



Caught another chunk off the same sea wall but not as big as the previous fish. Still a nice fish to get a photo with.



That was it for the day. Made a run down to clearer and warmer water but I couldn't get bit. I was working a crankbait through a channel while the Major was casting off the front. I heard something slap the Major's jacket and I looked up to see this.....



Of course he blamed the spinning reel he was using but he was lucky it hit his back and not his head!!! Hooks came out easily and we went back to fishing. Hit a couple areas and the Major finally hooked up with his only fish of the day on a Red Eye. No pics taken.....wasn't big enough Great day on the water.
