Contest Help
So I'm looking to find something about LM Bass using their tails to 'knock' vegetation to scare out bait fish.
Almost every video I've seen with feeding LMs with vegetation and bait fish hiding in veg., the LM spends equal if not more time facing away from veg. EX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdapkqJP2SY Now if you pay close attention, every time action slows (bait hides) the bass will face AWAY from veg. and sometimes even whack it with it's tail. Before whacking it's like it's fanning veg. creating current or something. Veg. at it's back doesn't make for a smart 'sight' feeding technique. Now after 'whacking' and a minnow scares out they eat all the exposed bait but once again, once slows down, backwards they go. So this is the question/answer I'm searching for, Do LMs use their tails to hit Veg. to spook bait fish? Do they 'fan' to create movement in Veg. and spook bait fish? All IDEAS WELCOME! So anyway while searching I ran across this, http://www.umpquavalleybassmasters.com/bassbook.htm Good read, short and to the point with good insight. May help you in the search for the 'Big One'.
