asking for prayer for a friend.

I believe I had posted awhile back about my friend who's father has developed cancer. A couple days ago he woke up unable to see or function much. He's gradually gotten worse and they started him on morphine last night. My poor friend posted that she knew what that meant in "Cancer world". He's been in and out but still knew who his daughter was until tonight. He's had a lot of pain today and they doubled up on morphine and now he has no clue who she is. I wish I could ask you to pray for his healing, but it's obvious the Lord is calling him home. So I ask you to pray his pain is short.

Lord have mercy on this wonderful man. Through his life, he's been courageous when needed and compassionate before, during, and after the time for bravery was needed. He is truly a man of honor and a man with a true heart and soul. A wonderful father, husband, and grandfather. Our world has far too few men of his great character left. Please heal him if it is in your plan, or open the gates of heaven and welcome him into your arms allowing the pain of his transition to pass quickly and quietly. Whatever is your plan, take his pain from him. Please be with, guide and give strength to those left behind. Especially his daughter whom just recently told me of her unwillingness to let him go, and her uncertainty of how she'll go on with out them. This family so needs you in the coming days. Please watch over them.
