Saturday was a canceled trip followed by a few tire kickers. Then in the last minutes before I went to bed an angel contacted me and took two seats on my very dirty boat. Sorry about that. No raking leaves for this guy... besides there are still a few left in the trees. (Good excuse). So at dawn we headed out and set up on a very high tide. Many eaters and few too big to eat where caught. Then a wisker-less striped catfish about 26 inches was caught. By then the livewell was get crowded. We moved to a spot with less mats of grass and more big logs floating by. For next several hours we caught and landed many eaters and few more throw backs. The big rafts of logs floated by on both sides but never in our lines. The last hour of the outgoing we moved again to a shallow area known for big cats. We caught some decent monster cats and called it a day. Got to use my net after all.
Ran thru bait like a hot knife in butter. Capt Mike
