I finally was able to get together with Nitro911 and go fishing today, and what a day. Nitro is good people, no doubt about it. We fished a couple of stock tanks (Texan for farm pond
) a friend of his owns and really tore them up. We lost count of the number we caught-it was that good. We figure it was about 20 fish each, ranging from dinks to about four pounds. We caught them on a variety of baits-Trick worms, flukes, and most of them came on a Tiki Stick. We had a lot of laughs, too. Down here they often feed cattle from the back of a pickup, and as we were moving to a different tank we suddenly found ourselves surrounded by about 40 head that started folllowing us like they were following the Pied Piper, which we were both cracking up about. We did OK at the first tank, but the second one had the biggest fish. And an alligtor. He kept his distance for the most part until I was reeling in a Brush Hog over the top of a weed mat. Then he decided he wanted it and grabbed it-fortunately it didn't get anything but the tail, so I didn't have to unhook it . I thought that would be the catch of the day until Nitro did this:![]() He was throwing a Spook, and caught not one but two fish on one cast. I thought he really had a toad-I saw the hit-and so did he-until he got it up to the bank. No kidding-he really caught 2 on one cast. First time I ever saw that. What a great day-my thumb looks like I used sandpaper on it, my arms are sore from reeling in so many good fish, I got a new fishing buddy, and I loved every minute of it. Like I said, what a great day!
