Default Tackle Tips

I live in southern california and fish at a lake that is about a mile long and 200 yards wide. The Lake is crystal clear and warm and is surrounded by boat docks.
Any suggestions on Softbaits/Hardbaits, Colors,Lengths/Sizes? Thankyou for your help bass veterans

Go Iaconelli

Having lived most of my life in so cal, I know what you are dealing with, and I found finesse fishin to be the best bet around the more pressured lakes. I used split shot and drop shot alot with some success, as well as texas rigged finesse worms and grubs, and of course use florocarbon lines too. I had some success too with smaller medium and shallow diving cranks as well. I also fished primarily with spinning gear too, that really seemed to make the difference, along with the lighter lines 6, 8, and 10 # test.

Good Luck

i like the green luck "e" strike brand worms with a split shot rig on 8 lb. mono line. my buddy and i use that for so cal night fishing and have had some luck. infact, last night we each pulled up about 4 decent sized fish.

Try using a drop shot rig.
