rocks+points=deep fish
and if there just happens to be a BIG ole tree layin in there so much the better. i just rear back and off-load the lucky craft d-12.
first cast all up in the tree and feel the hit as i break out of the limbs.. doh!!! 2 pound slab makes trip to live well.. three more cast.. nothing.. again one to the tree. as i break out all back of da short bus here knocks the snot out of it.. humidity thickens-like stick a hammer in it- 5 more cast and a toad loads up. with a screamin drag he gets me all wrapped up in the tree limbs and gets off.- basstard- i dig out the plug knocker get it back and re-tie..3 more cast from the "back porch approach" and bingo 5.1 pounder off the tree AGAIN..umm camera refuses to work claiming moisture in it. welcome to summer fishing huh?. i move to a second well chosen rocky point. no tree. send the bait in bonk, bonk, bonk, thunk, thunk, bonk, wham.. nice fish weighed in at 5.4 pounds again no pic.-dam camera- retie again in it goes bonk, bonk, bonk, thunk, wham.. another blasted crappie about a 1.5 pounds.-i really need to crappie fish this lake- there is a big limb layin in about 9 feet of water off a rocky point. sweating buckets now humidity at 100% no rain and 85 degrees.. ran to a third creek -ahh cool breeze-87 degree water temps. at the mouth of this creek is a grassy mud point. fished it for 30 mintues and nothing.. i head back to the ramp i figure it was $9.50 well spent to fish this lake i seen the grand total of 7 boats on it yeah the whole lake two days after the fouth of july.. zooker

seems like every time i fish the above mentioned lake i catch at least 1 over 5 pounds. if the other local lakes were not so great in the spring. i am sure i would pick off a toad or two during the spawn.3 of my personal best come from this lake -all over 9 pounds- one of the biggest crankbait bass i have caught came from here also-seen below-..
the lake level is down about 2 feet with 3-4 foot visability.. zooker
