From what I see from the thread Jrob kindly shared, all but 3 people are in this discussion also. So maybe you folks are the best source for what and why something will or won't work.

how about this, go to www.outdooralabama.com. click in the search bar in upper right. type in master angler. when results come up click on the one that says master angler and trophy angler. it is a set of guidelines in weight and measurements for a trophy fish in alabama. something like that could be used. may have to tweak it a bit but its a starting place.

i just thought since they do it by weight or length u could come up with something based on that and it could work for people in all our regions.
