Wellllll...This one about 15 minutes ago. Another piece that used to delight me to play...at least once a year in performance...for over 35 years. I always prayed I've have 'nuff gas less for the sustained High "C" at the end.

Just finished THIS a55 kicker. Had the lead part in my senior year in HS, several times in college, and a few times with various community bands.
A few years ago, after performing it, an audience member came up to me. He was an old cowboy type. He shook my hand, said "Dang! That is sure a pretty horn! But I will say you looked busier than a monkey makin' love to a football on that Opus 99 piece."
Watch and listen and you'll understand why.
(This a British group, so it's cornets instead of trumpets...Good job!)

And now I'm gonna enjoy one of my all-time favorites, to both play lead trumpet on and listen to. I've generally played the Concert Band arrangement but did have opportunity to do it in a real orchestra in 1980. Real fiddles!
