The Mann's thin crank baits are awesome. I have three that I use on Guntersville. They make a difference when the fish are picky.

I got the pics!!! Yay! I did it!

And the Jr fishing, he caught two 5-7" bass!

Any way the trip...

Started out great for me, I caught the 3lb on the 4th cast, that was it though. Later on we say a tarpon (it's right new to the spill way, so salt water fish than can live in fresh water are in their too, snook and small tarpon mostly) chasing minnows/small shad; I hooked it! It would have been my fist tarpon, but it jumped a spat the hook right after I hooked it! Oh well, I know where else to get them!

After that we continued to walk the shore line, we saw small tilapia bedding, and gobs of bass fry and bream chasing them like heck!! I even saw a small snook!

Their was also lots of water bugs on the surface skeetering around with bluegill again slamming them here and their! You can see them on the bottom right of the first pic, and the middle right of the 2nd!

Any way, those where the high light of the trip.... all in a fun day!

That's is where I caught the 3lber! Strong fish! But close to the bank between bridges we got a lots of hydrilla, and the bass just love it when you pull a weightless anaconda through! But ya, most of my bass are caught on the pilings!

What I really wanna do is get some scuba gear, or at least a good snorkel, and swim around seeing what's around the pilings, and what kind of structure there is! If I had a boat I would pitch under them and see what hit it!

I went again today, mainly because my little brother left his fishing pole, and we also needed to get some minnows for out fish to eat! Only fished about and hour. It was fun though, got to see an 8'-10' gater! Came up about a foot from shore. My dad wanted to scare it off, so he cast his anaconda at it, it hit, it got hooked, it unhooked, it swam away! We kept an eye on it the whole time! My dad hooked one, but got off, was a dink anyway!

All it all, it was pretty fun!
