WOW Good catch. I was wondering how long it would take to get the newer rods listed. They didn't have them on there 3 days ago.
![]() They are a backorder item but at least the prices are GREAT!

Guys, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Check this out before using them. Order at your own risk.

Looks like they like to make up some on the shipping also. $5.99 per rod on top of a shipping charge for each order based on dollar amounts. Still cheaper than NON Sale prices at other vendors.
I mentioned to Krtismo in a IM that I bought two rods from them but going back thru my records shows I was wrong on that. Sorry Krtismo. While I am sure you can find bad with ANY online store the only safe way to order is to use a American Express card as you will have FULL recourse on all purchases and disputes. They have saved me several times with online fraud from vendors.

As for the American Express card. I don't have one (any credit card for that matter). Even if I did, I'd rather not take the chance. BB

We were up at BPS in Rossford yesterday (Saturday) and they have A LOT of the Veritas rods in stock already! They are a sharp looking rod, but to me they felt goofy with a reel on the rod.

I could not wait anymore, I picked one of these up today, a 7'6" MH Fast, will give a better account of it after I fish it in the morning. These are def. much lighter than the Vendetta, and the guides are also upgraded to a titanium alloy frame with a SiC insert.

Awesome Tav!
How many guides does the 7'6" MH Veritas have? I wonder how similar to the 7'6" MH Vendetta the action/power is. The vendetta looks like a broom stick, but has a surprisingly soft tip. A very versatile rod. Let us know how you like it. BB

I did get to fish today, but I did not get to use the Veritas enough to give it a fair trial. I did get to use a Duckett Micro Magic rod, a friend of mine is a pro and fishes for Duckett and ABU, he made the trip out with me today and we enjoyed catching a few more trout.

Nice trout. Did you catch them in Kansas?
About painted rods; Maybe the reason we don't see as many is that once upon a time, paint was used on rods to cover cheap blanks, and there has been a little bit of a carryover from that thinking. The first thing I used to check when I was buying a rod was whether I could see the graphite shine, and how much extra glue was loaded on. Also, orange is such an ugly color - and I think companies are trying to avoid marketing a rod that will be the wrong color and unecessarily eliminate part of their market. I would not buy a rod just because it is a specific color (say red), but if its the wrong color then that could keep me from buying one.
