I'm pulling hard for the Steelers right now - they came to play. Also great to see the Pats go down, don't dislike them personally but they've been too prosperous.

If they were the best team ever assembled, they wouldn't have lost. I am now convinced that the Colts franchise just sucks. First it's "boo-hoo, teams are too rough on our receivers!" So they change the rules to only allowing contact within 5 yards. Then it's "the weather sucks, boo-hoo, we need homefield in our dome!" But of course, you need the easiest schedule ever to get that #1 seed. So the National Football League gives it to them, they get the #1 seed, they play the NUMBER 6 SEED, and they lose. Best team ever? Not even close. |

Man TT, I know you've had a bad day but ****. Your team got the benifit of the doubt from the refs 3 times today and still lost. Indy was a bit overrated.

Palmer's knee exploded. Now he is a qb so it is possible to play on a bad knee, ask Joe Willy and Dan Marino, but he tore a mcl, acl and the other ligament. In other words, hes got a lot, a lot of rehab to do. For some that is a career ending injury.

Bad day was right....lol...Sorry about that....I will honestly say that the Colts were not overrated tho....They had a tremendous year and beat several very good football teams. I think they were waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too rusty after not having played in a month.....Anyway, sorry about that. Btw, we did get 3 late Christmas presents from the refs....I'm still trying figure out how that wasnt an interception....lol Brian |

Slight concussion, will almost certainly play. Ironically it was Cornelius Griffin who gave him the concussion - both I think were captains their Sr year at Alabama.

I thought I'd post a link to a video of Coach Shula reading a letter from a former Alabama walkon - turned marine, Nathan Cox about the war in Iraq and the national pastime. http://anon.gannett.speedera.net/ano...iser/shula.wmv

Did you hear that the NFL is looking into making a new rule about tackling someone at knee level?

Lizards, maybe we define "great team" differently. The 72 Dolphins, 85 Bears, 94 Niners and the 2004 Pats were great teams. This years Colts were very good, but not down the stretch when it counted. The "a bit overrated" remark wasn't meant as a personal stab at them, its very, very easy in this world of hype and ESPN to become overrated overnight. By the way, has anybody noticed that the 4 teams left, the Steelers, Panthers, Seahawks and Broncos were all terribly underrated for most of the year? Out of those 4, the Seahawks are the only team thats really had any hype at all.

Let's face it, the teams that get the hype get it because of individual players. Teams that got a lot of hype: Colts - Peyton Manning Patriots - Tom Brady Giants - Tiki Barber Seahawks - Shaun Alexander Falcons (before they fell out of the playoff race) - Mike Vick Chiefs - Larry Johnson Of course, who gets the most hype depends on the sports network. Just from the ones I watch, I found these teams to be the most hyped... and it always resulted from one individual. |

Anyways... predictions... Denver over Pittsburgh... Both very good teams, but Denver is nearly unbeatable up in the high climate. To be honest I would probably pick the Steelers if the game was in Pittsburgh, but it's in Denver. Seattle over Carolian... Very similar reason. Very good teams, but Seattle will have a slight edge due to homefield. |
