Memory recalls
When I did it was always pretty good. Trick was to have two rods ready. One for a silver buddy and one with a manns sting ray grubb. Some scented paste helped alot too. I personally liked to use tubes in the deep drop offs where the fish would winter up. Always north side of creek that has a good drop off was the best mid day.
I was out 8 years ago on Jan 1st and jigged up 68 bass on a silver buddy at the WW bridge pillings. The silver buddy must be the fully crome version or you are wasting your time. Capt Mike

Careful on those bridge pilings.....Coast Guard gets a little cranky if you get too close. Silver and gold buddies catch bass but snagging gizzard shad is more fun! Especially in the winter months on light gear.
