Mine is a 2000, named the Sea Grinch, it is a beast, handles the big NE waves like nothing

Ah too new for my taste on Mako's (owned by BPS). The Hydra will take anything down with its 2 3/4" Kevler reinforced hull.

Nope but you never know whats floating (logs, fridges, abandoned boats, telephone poles) in the water that you can't see when running at night
