sumpem sumpem as promised
Let me break this thread in and set the bar...
This is the one I got to the boat. Unfortunatly one quit a bit bigger through my hook at the boat. I put two rulers in to try and help with the length reading.. ADMIN NOTE: Hey Jim, Nice Fish! Be sure to include both your length and girth measurements in your post and also calculate the weight of the fish with the fish calculator so everyone can quickly see what you're fish's size/weight is. Thanks ~ Kevin |

1/12/07 Entry
Got out after work to try to move up on Cpt. Jim. Got 2 over 4 pounds. This is my biggest; 21.5 long, 15.25 girth. According to the weight calculator that makes it 5.87 lbs, (which I will gladly accept!). But notice the last pic of my scale. It shows it as 4lbs, 14 ozs. I have checked this scale against a postal scale, and found it to be accurate withen 1 oz.

Long and Skinny
Got out after church with a couple of buddies and together we caught about 55. Here's my biggest 23" by 15.5" girth = 6.83 pounds according to the calculator. My digital scale read 5 lbs 11 ozs. Got him in 12 feet of water on a super secret, limited production, hard to find, underwater fish fooly thingy.

Artificials vrs Shiners
After today I say arties.
Was out in the lake today and did some head to head competition with the Bateman. I tried some arties up against his shiners... I am pretty pleased with my results.. Caught about 20 with 5 being over 20" Will post some of the 22" inchers later but here is the beast of the day... 25.5" in length and 19" in girth = 10.30lbs! |

caught another hawg today, same lake, same spot, same lure, and same measurements, thinking its likely the same fish and thank god because I thought she wasn't going to make it after releasing her the first time I caught her.
