Last weekend I traveled up to Maryland to visit friends and family. I planned on getting some fishing in while I was up there. I got there Thursday night and didnt waste a moment. My buddy and I were so excited to go fishing that we decided that we would try bass fishing at night in a secluded pone he knew about. Neither of us had ever bass fished at night and didnt know what to expect, but we thought what the heck. We got out to the pond and it started to drizzle and thunder and lightning were approaching. Still, we had come to far to turn back. So we wet the lines. The rain and storm got worse, but we were determined. We started out in a spot that was overgrown with vegetation, so we moved to an area with more open water to work with. BAM! Bass started hitting left and right. We would cast in the same spot, one right after the other, and were wearing 'em out. My buddy ended up catching 18 while I pulled in 14 (in 2 hours). It was incredible. I never knew you could get such great results at night......in a thunderstorm. I was also using dark colored plastics which I thought was interesting. Anyone out there have an experience like this? Please post your stories and experiences with Night Bassin. I would like to learn more about it as the summer will get hot and I might start waiting till night to fish.
