High skys and 30 mph winds kept my fishing to the backwaters. But did manage 9 fish with 6 landed. The 3 or 4 lbs ers all got off at boat. Wimpy hooksets was the main reason for the loss of fish.
All where on Wacko worms in blue fleck and inches from creek edges. None in the pads and a few on wood. Water temp was 61.8 to 63.8 from back to front. Kinda backwards for this time of the year. Normally it is warmer the farther you go back up the creek. But it has been a odd spring here in MD. Off for three weeks of fun fishing. Plan to fish lower bay CBBT for blacks and reds and then off to West VA and WAY upper Potomac for smallies and trout on the fly. After that, it is down to Glocester VA for some pickles and LGMouth. Then back to guiding the backwaters evenings only till summer ends. Big plans and I have a weatherman on the payroll to insure good weather. Capt Mike
