Ok... new to bassin and I am having a question with my buddy and we are getting in to a little argument over this...

Can you save and reuse plastics? ie: If I put on a sweet beaver and throw it 15 casts... is it shot? or can I save it in a seperate zip-lock and reuse it the next day? How often should you change plastics? I really like the Zoom Big Salty Chunks, if I am casting all morning... should I change my salty after a while if I am getting no action? Thanks for the help! |

no way man. To me, they aint outta use unless they all falling apart. on the hook. Or unless a fish rips it in half. If your worried about scent, you can buy spray on scent in a can for 5$. But i keep tons of ones ive used before. You never know what will work.

Man I´ve been reusing my baits for 3 decades and will continue to do it until they are either lost or damaged beyond repair.

Gotta go with the other guys on this one. Use them until they are falling apart. And glue them to keep them together a little longer.

I agree...I keep a bunch of super glue in my box and if I'm running low I'll fix tears and rips to get through the day, but soft baits should last you a while.

same here, but once a worm rips in half, you can use the tail end as a grub, a jig trailer, or a crappie jig. works great for all. i almost never get rid of em. and ill even pick up ones that arent in bad shape that people leave on the ground shore fishing and stuff

try a used up section of a ribbon style worm on your buzzbaits as a trailer

It really slows the buzzbait down if thats whats needed for the day. |

			Welcome to the forum!

Sure you can. I usually don't, but then I have more soft plastics than I can use in my lifetime-comes from being obsessed and having a vicious bait monkey ![]()
