| BassFishin.Com Super Veteran | Got It!

Well Guys, as I may have previously posted, I finally got my new Daiwa Tierra for my Finesse Rod. For $114.95, plus tax, mind you, I purchased the Daiwa Tierra Spinning 1500 reel. I plan to put about 6 or 8 pound test on it. I am mainly using this rod/reel for skipping Senkos under dock, Drop-Shotting, Finesse Jigging, and Small Topwater Poppers like the Zell-Pop. Do you fellas have any ideas on line? I don't really want fluoro., cost too much, and for what I'm using it for, you don't really need sensitivity. Choices? -LL-

I'd go with a Copolymer. P-Line fluoroclear or P-Line CX (or CXX). All three are more reasonably priced than fluoro. These will give you sensitivity without spending $$$ for fluoro or comprimising low line visibility with Braid. BB

Have you ever tried anything like the CXX? I think it was Reb that said it wasn't too bad. I might shoot him a PM and ask him again. -LL-

LL, I'd go with P-Line Floroclear. It is mono with a fluoro coating, which makes it tough but extremely limp so it handles well. I have 2 spinning rods and a bunch of baitcasters spooled with it.

Thanks Guys! I think I am going to go with a co-polymer. It's somewhat medianly priced, sensitive, yet flexible and limp. I may try the Fluoroclear or the P-Line CXX Premium. I like the P-Line brand. Yet, GAMMA still sits in the back of my mind... -LL-

I love all P-Lines products except CXX. Possibly it was a bad spool I got but it was more stiff than wire and had more memory than Memorex. It is the only line that I hate. If you can afford it try some Halo or I have also heard good things about the Evolution stuff if you don't want flouro.

Yeah, I love the Ultragreen too, but my spool seemed to curl pretty quick. Maybe a bad spool. I don't know... -LL-
