Win $1,000,000
For the new FLW Fantasy Fishing all you have to do is pick the names of the first 7 places in one of the tournaments and you win a million. Sound easy? Guess what your odds of doing that is? C'mon it's a simple math question....do it in your head.
That's right, 1 in 11,510,836,921,584,000 if it's a full 200 boat field......I'll take those odds any day. Who knows, I might get lucky. |

Especially when it is free and costs nothing. It makes those odds sound even better that there is no risk for you to go for it!

No deal, 3D...
Here's some more math for ya: To statistically cover those odds, EVERYONE ON EARTH would have to play 1,723,299 times EACH. Then, only 1 person would win..................... I think that for my "get rich plan," I'll keep letting my dog pick stocks for me. |

Unfortunately the mathematically calculated odds do not factor in luck. Odds are just a statistical representation of the difficulty. Is it probable that someone could do it? No way in hell. But is it possible? Yep, and that's all that matters. I probably wouldn't even know 7 guys who are in the tournament, but I could guess and get lucky.

btw mississipi, as a financial advisor I can confirm that having your dog pick your stocks would likely produce better returns over time than 7 out of 10 portfolio managers....lol

Thanks,3D. When will I get my new nameplate to put on my desk?
WSA, you say that as a joke, but I remember reading an article that put real brokers/stock market analysts against chimps. The people did what they do every day, analyzing everything: future projections, past performance, market trends, etc etc etc. The chimps just randomly pointed at a big list of company names, and their minders invested in the ones they pointed at. I'll give you one of those paper Burger King crowns if you can guess which group performed better, on average. |

Or it could be:::
The Book: It is important to note that suddenly, and against all probability, a Sperm Whale had been called into existence, several miles above the surface of an alien planet and since this is not a naturally tenable position for a whale, this innocent creature had very little time to come to terms with its identity. This is what it thought, as it fell:
The Whale: Ahhh! Woooh! What's happening? Who am I? Why am I here? What's my purpose in life? What do I mean by who am I? Okay okay, calm down calm down get a grip now. Ooh, this is an interesting sensation. What is it? Its a sort of tingling in my... well I suppose I better start finding names for things. Lets call it a... tail! Yeah! Tail! And hey, what's this roaring sound, whooshing past what I'm suddenly gonna call my head? Wind! Is that a good name? It'll do. Yeah, this is really exciting. I'm dizzy with anticipation! Or is it the wind? There's an awful lot of that now isn't it? And what's this thing coming toward me very fast? So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like 'Ow', 'Ownge', 'Round', 'Ground'! That's it! Ground! Ha! I wonder if it'll be friends with me? Hello Ground! Yea what are the odds..
