Had a great day Saturday fishing lake monticello in Arkansas. We got to the lake around noon, water temp was 52. Tried fishing Jin-n-Pigs to no avail. Around 1 we moved to secondary points and started throwing jerkbaits in 10-15 ft of water. I was using a bream colored rapala shad rap, and hooked up on a hog in about 10ft of water. After an awesome fight my buddy netted the fish. 10lbs 4 oz, 26 1/2 inches long.
![]() Was a great way to start the 08 season, and I must say really set the fishing bug loose on me. I cant wait to get back to the water, and I hope the fishing will only get better. Snapped tha pic with the cell phone, Ill upload some better shots as soon as my buddy e-mails em to me. |
