				 | New graphite rod offer...legit?

Brethren and Sisteren, maybe ya'll know something about this company. I got a "buy one get one free" offer from a new rod company in the mail. The company is Acadia. Has anyone heard anything about these rods? Thanks, Pig |

I've never heard of them. I'd do some research on Google and such before I bought something form them. BB

I don't know anything about the company. But if you buy a $50 rod and get one free, as far as I'm concerned, you've bought two $25 rods. Which doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with the rods. Maybe it's a valid deal, but the company is an unknown, so it's hard to tell.

On another forum, I have heard nothing but very positive reviews. They appear to be legit.

They are legit. On other forums the posters sing their praises on a regular basis.

'Preciate the feedback! I did a little research myself and they do seem nice. But, as always, it's better to be safe than sorry. Buyer beware sort of thing. If I go with it I'll let ya'll know what the verdict is. Tight lines-- Pig |

My boss got the same offer last year and he got two casting rods, he doesn't do to much fishing though. He brought them in and they seemed ok. Personally I don't think I would spend my money on them cause I already know what I like for the most part and am a little bit stuck in my ways.

One of the members of my Club bought 6. He absolutly loves them. He hasn't ever used an upper end rod like G. Loomis, St. Croix, or Kistler so in my opinion he can't really make a comparison. Me, I've never tried one and honestly believe you get what you pay for. They may be terrific, but comparable to a Loomis? Even to their entry level rods - I don't think so.
