Since Cabin Fever has a death grip on me, I broke out the Pike Stik and decided to do some pike fishin' out behind the house.
As I was expecting, the water had about a four mph current with moderately-stained water. I figured the Bomber jerkbait would be up to the job - nothing. One thing I did notice was that this bait had a 'floating' action when the bait was not being worked. Be it the current that made this happen, or the nature of the bait, I DID NOT LIKE IT! ![]() ![]() ![]() After about 15-20 casts, I snagged me a limb bream and had to cut my braid as the bait was across the river. Well, I'm five dollars and one lure shorter... Oh, well... I was going to rig-up a Jig-N-Tube, but I said to hell with it and scooted home. I plan to hit it again next week using a slip-rig with a tail-rigged chub or shiner. My minnow trap should be all up to the job! ![]() -Lunk- ![]()
