i had to get yamalube any way -i buy in bulk- so while i was at carolina boat center. i got out my blackberry and started clickin.. i was VERY interseted in the 17.5 footer. though i am not crazy about the colors to be honest. i just had to take this picture of a 18.5 footer with a 175 rude on the back.. dam that is a sexy boat..-bias to blue /white boats- the red/white boat had several poeple playin on it.. according to the dealer the 278 pro fd would be priced with a 115 yamaha four stroke at $20k. the dealer said "we can rig ANY brand moter on these boats" though none had a yamaha on it. the 295 had a 200ss suzuki four stroke rigged on it. the 21 footer with a 250opti merc on it was tagged at $43k.. the reason i could not get them pictures inside-it is against the law to do THAT in this state- zooker

All that I know is that every boat (that I've seen) that is 17.5 is only rated for a 115. I may be wrong, but check with Ranger here in Lexington.

I saw one of the 15' tri-hull stinger II models with a 115 Mariner on it. I looked at mine and it said 85hp max, I asked the guy about and he said the rating plate blew off one day. it was all you wanted on a windy day.

that is the biggest thing i didn't like about them. personal opinion i guess, but if my co angler laid his rods on this then they would probably run up onto the front deck. and i am very picky about not having stuff on the front deck other than my rods. i just like having the room to move around and i know where my rods are but not used to having to walk around someone elses rods.

Assoon as someone finds a site on the web lemme know. I am wanting to find out some more info on there boats. They do have a very interesting layout and there hull looks like maybe could be made to run some respectable numbers. That 17 1/2 ftr with a (clearing my throat) 150 might be a contender on the water. CHIT EATIN GRIN NOW
