I went to Academy this past weekend and bought some rubber artificials. Where I fish, the water is turbid, heavily stained water. Please tell me if I purchased the correct colors, and tell me where and how to fish them:

1. Gary Yamamoto 5''senko watermelon/red/green
2. Wave Worms 5'' tiki stick watermelon/red flake
3. Lake Fork "baby ring-fry" watermelon/chart pepper
4. Wave Worms 5'' Tiki stick Christmas tree
5. Ribbit frogs melon read/ pearl
6. Zoom 6'' lizzard -red bug
7. Mister Twister 6'' Phenom Black/blue
8. Zoom 8'' Magnum Lizard Pumpkin chart
9. Strike King super finesse wrom watermelon red flk

Nope take them all back and buy Merthiolate, Sherbert, and Natural Blue. They are the only colors that work in the bodies of water you fish.

How and where to fish them? I've got no idea. I'll leave that to Zook, Reb, and the rest of the crew.

Is the water stained all year long or just recently? Dark solid colors do well in heavily stained water. Greens, Purples, and Blacks are consistant colors on the Potomac River. In clear water the lighter, translucent colors can be more effective. Pumpkin and Watermelon are effective on Lake Anna (visibility can be up to 15' or more) but the darker colors do well on the upper stained area of the lake.

Of course any of the above may or may not hold true on your body of water. The reason for this is that the bass don't read the magazines.

How to fish them? Texas rigged or Carolina rigged. Drag them, hop them, or swim them.

Where to fish them? Almost anywhere on the body of water you fish on.
