Default Tennis elbow

I've been flipping and pitching my 7 1/2 ft Flippin' stick so much lately I've got tennis elbow----AGAIN. Anyone got a cure; recommend a brace; suggest a preventative remedy or just have any advice in general on how to deal with this painful and annoying problem?????

Icey hot. Other than that the only thing I can suggest is WHEN ITS TIME to get a new flippin setup go as light as you possibly can.

rest it man and switch between ice and heat about 20 min on then switch
you don't need a heating pad just microwave a face cloth works just as
good and a little advil should help.

Theragesic. Best stuff I've ever used. But, the best remedy is, unfortunately, resting it.

I also got a neoprene elbow brace that wrapped around it and it did help when out on the water. Haven't had a problem in a year or so, but I keep it handy.

Mine went from the left elbow-not a real problem-to the right-BIG problem. The elbow wrap made it bearable on the water.

R.I.C.E. - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation are they first things you do. Then use an anti-inflamitory to control pain and swelling. Once it is feeling better then work on R.O.M. exercise - otherwise known as stretching. If you lack ROM then work on it. Also doing some strengthening exercises will help. Most common cause of "Tennis Elbow" is weakness and lack of ROM. Simple strengthening exercise is getting a can of soup or light weight and do some reverse wrist curls. Lay your forearm across your knee, palm down, and lift the weight up. Simple. Start with 3 sets of 15 reps. Stop if it is too painfull. If it's too easy then increase weight.
Heat can be used after 48-72 hours of the initial injury. Topical ointments are not recommended no matter what you read or see. They will not get deep enough to increase blood flow to the damaged tissue. Hot packs work. Massage has some benefits.
If this doesn't help then see a Doc. and then a physical therapist.

I use a tennis elbow wrap it works for me,but I use it all the time on the left arm. Since its hurt already you will have to rest it or just deal with it untill it eases up. I would still use the wrap it will keep it from moving to much. You can buy them at walmart, they are not the old ace bandage type, make sure its a tennis elbow wrap.
