2009 BassFishin.Com Member Event Rough Draft
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to post a quick "rough draft" for your review and confirmation. Let me know if the following is all correct and I will create a more "official" event information page that will be easy for everyone to read and follow and get details for the event, lodging, etc. Location: Big Bear Resort @ Kentucky Lake Dates: Thursday May 14th -> Sunday May 17th, 2009 Lodging options at Resort: - Campgrounds - Motels - Cabins - Apartments - Efficiencies Covered boat slips are available for rent (w/ electrical hookup & water). Confirmed Attendees: JB Denny K Woody Zooker MississippiBoy (and wife) John & Lisa Seaver WTL C-Rig (and wife Britney) flfireman BigBassin114 KingFish BassinBandit bcklsh lowrider doc everettvet Rodman_Rat (and husband) Kevin If you are not on this list and plan on attending... simply reply to this thread and I'll add you on the list. Everyone who is on the list, reply to confirm your attendance and provide any lodging plans/reservations if possible. One thing I am little unsure about is what people are planning for Sunday. Are most of you staying the night on Sunday or leaving on Sunday? Thanks guys... just want to make sure I get it all right before I create an "Official" Event page. Kevin

I am announcing my attendance. I can't wait to see and meet everyone! I have reserved a "Lake Cottage" and covered boat slip on Dock C (Slip #67 I believe) for Thurs, Fri, and Sat night.

Has anyone made plans to stay Sunday night?

You can count me in.
I've already reserved cottage #21 and boat slip # 70. I should be arriving by noon Thursday for check in and will be checking out Sunday, but I'm planning on fishing Sunday before heading home. ~Woody Last edited by woody; 01-21-09 at 02:01 PM. |

Everything looks good on the rough draft. Is it urgent that I call them to reserve a place to pitch tent?

not really, they ask you pay for one nights campsite in advance tho...I'd get it done if you want a spot on the water, if not shannon at big bear says they usually dont sell out of spots IF its not a holiday.

I'm wondering if we'll have mobile coverage at Big Bear?

We're definately coming. We rented one of the Fishermen's appartments for thursday through sat nights. We'll be leaving Sunday afternoon most likely.
We're also planning on bringing the boat since you guys said we shouldn't have to go far to find fish. We're in boat slip #57, right next to John and Lisa Man, I really can't wait for this. So much to buy... oh wait.... I don't have any money... I'll save money until BPS Spring Classic. BB

I just got off the phone with Janet down at Big Bear and she said that AT&T and Verizon Wireless have great coverage down there, even while out on the lake, good to know.

I've thought about the possibility of joining everyone, but the trip is just too long for me to make. I did a Google map search and it's 1,011 miles one way. Which is about 16 hours driving time.
