Hey guys lookin at a stratos its a 05 201 with 06 mercury pro xs 225 Low hrs is $23k a good buy on it?

that is a $45000 brand new price... for a 3 year old boat.average price should be in the low 30's.. sounds fishy i would diffantly have a comp pressure check done. while it is there have the shop "print out" the computer info from the black box.-bet ya something is messed up- check the hull at the pad look for impact marks..

also i made a post on here the other day that was a news story that said stratos would be out of business by june. the lack of customer service may or may not be an issue for you but it is something to think about.

kory, i didn't mention that i talked to a FACTORY rep at the huntsville boat show. now HE said that they weren't going OUT of business, just slowing down a bit. recession and all he said. take it as you want. i do NOT know the truth.

the media has been known to blow things way out of proportion so that rep may be right. on the other hand it could be that the rep isn't allowed to let the cat out of the bag either so who really knows?? i sure hope that they survive, they make some good looking glitter sleds.

Well the boat is a one owner an older gentleman i dont know the boat but a local shop here does and has serviced it. Owner has a new one so sellin this one i think it sounds like a good deal.

I saw on the news the other day that the factory is just cutting back .they had a big layoff in order to keep afloat as is everyone in the country
