				 | It is always the hardest!!!

In all sports including bass the first of the season is always the hardest. In baseball, your first hit is always the hardest, but after you get it then the others start coming alot quicker. In basketball, your first shot you hit is the hardest. I could go on and on, but this also applies for fishing. The first fish of the year is always the toughest but then the fish seem to bite more often. For example: I have not got to go fishing this year until this past weekend. I went saturday with a fishing buddy to a pond and we were getting nothing, we could see the fish all over the pond, but we could not get them to bite...We started out throwing the usuals but nothing. We ended up throwing everything we could find, but then i had a top water bite and the fish missed the bait and he casted a top water at the same spot and caught a 4 pounder...Then he caught another 4 ( 1-2 pounds) in the next 20 minutes...I couldn't catch anything and we were throwing the same thing and working it the exact same way. He left and went to work, so i stayed...I was determined to get the first one out of the way...about 5 minutes after he left I caught my first one, 3 pounds, and then within the next 5 minutes i caught 5 more (1-2 ponuds). It just seems that after the first one, then the others come a lot easier and faster...Maybe it is a confidence thing or a pressure thing...but i am glad it is over with....
