Just got off the phone and found out that a good friend of mine died today. Him and his brother were messin with a pistol and it went off and shot him in the head. Guns are great, but there not toys.

That happens way too often. Had a good family friend who was a paraplegic who used his hunting shotgun as a cane to get outof his wheelchair and it shot him in the head. Killed a good man. The only thing we can do is remember what happened and be careful.

Same thing happened in AR last week I think or the week before. Someone was REPORTED as playing with a pistal and dry fired it several times at a friend and then it went off. Always take the attitude that a firearm is loaded. That was what I was taught at a young age and we had a near miss in my family in the 60's. My brother was cleaning his shotgun after hunting one afternoon and guess what. He just thought he had unloaded all the shells. My mom had beeen standing outside the window not five minutes earlier that got blew out while he was cleaning the gun.

You can not be to careful. Always assume one is loaded at all times and watch the people you are around how they handle their guns while walking etc. it can save your or someone elses life.
