yeah... the limits here are pretty tight and are higly enforced... but every now and then you get the guys who collect and keep the undersized bass.. but I agree.. that's a pretty hefty limit. stevomac

THe local lakes around here do not have size limits, but there are also no tournaments either. Just small 40 acre lakes....they only have limits on the amount you can keep

Whatever the owner of the pond wants us to do since we fish primarily private ponds. I don't know the limits here in Alabama but I do know that when I fish public waters, I throw everything back anyway. Pictures and the memories are enough for me.

I just put under 10 cause I don't think we have one. If we keep bass, they're all 14-17" anyways cuase they're the best eating. BB

VA is screwed up. We have no limit, 12" limit, NC limit (three of five must be over 14"), slots like 12-15", and the Potomac 15" limit which lasts from March to June to protect those important spawning fish. It basically depends on when and where you fish.

Ours is 14" for lakes, 12" for rivers and lake Michigan. Of course the DNR has special size limits of specified waters.

It's 14 for here also. Something bigbassin144 should know! Also from May 1st till June 27th you can't take bass from Lake Erie. It is catch and release only. |

My favorite lake, Patoka is 15". The pit 3 miles from my house is 18". I agree with the pit, disagree with Patoka, but I would like to hope they know what they're doing.
