Seriously, John, quit whining. ![]() Yesterday it was about 40 degrees here, maybe. Oh, did I mention steady 28-32mph winds w/ gusts reaching 46-48mph? I don't even know, or want to know, what the wind chill was... BB

I'd love to toss my spro into that patch of pads!!! That looks great! And yeah, maybe in 5 months, lol. Last year on this date we set a record low of just 9 degrees. Thank goodness we were in the 40's today!

Thanks for that pic i needed to see something that is green on the water. The air temperature in Tennessee hasn't been all that bad, the constant cold fronts with cold rain really hit the fish hard.

I was amazed that the pads were still up on the river last weekend and the bass were still relating to them. Normally the main river is 48 degrees, the pads have died back, and the shallow grass is dead or dying off very quickly. Another thing I didn't expect was that the fish still were hitting topwater. The Major picked up a 3.6 on a popper and I had one chase a brush hog and it jumped out of the water at the bait. |

Hey, Smitty, awesome shot! My Dad says to ask if you have a huge version of that. It's for his desktop background!

Yeah CMorg. Up here we had about a foot of snow on the ground right now. Thanksgiving looked more like Christmas last year. Luckily this year is a different story! Warm and sunny today so I was able to get a lot of yard work done before the inevitable happens.

You know I'm always ready to try new fishin spots. If it looks like that, maybe I could fall out of the boat and not sink so far.

The big pads in the back are called Elephant Ear. The pads floating on the water are normal pads with hydrilla mixed in between them. The big pads might have 1.5 - 2.5' of water under them during high tide.
