Im just bad luck.
Any time me and my fishing buddy go off road to fishing spots we always get his truck stuck...We were even joking about it this morning on the way to the creek (sandbass are already moving in)..I told him Im just bad luck.
Well there were a few cars that were there that already made huge mud trenches...So we just parked in the dry grass about 100 ft away...We fished and then wanted to move further down the creek...We loaded the truck and start slinging mud!! He looks at me says ''Damn, I hate you''...haha! We had a few guys we met on the creek come over in thier truck and before they made it over they started sliding everywhere..We told them no need in both getting stuck and that well figure something else out. My friend had his wife pick us up So as I type this,All my spinning gear is sitting in a truck cab in the middle of a field. This is the fourth time weve gotten stuck in about 5 months...And the second time weve had to leave the truck at the scene. So who's taking me fishing?

That's funny. I was fishing a tourny with a friend and he was telling a guy how he spun the hub on his prop the last time he fished that lake. I told him that was bad luck and we were going across the other end of the lake and guess what happened..... We spun the hub.
Two hours of trolling later we were back at the truck.

Its not you, driver who is in charge if not supportive then he shouldnt park there, goes double if he doesnt know how to drive it out.Trick-apply parking break lightlly then a lil gas, once moving keep moving-but then again if you arnt driving.
But not exactly a fault of yours, sure be glad to take you out anytime your at Ky lake,we are a bit more towards civilization have whats called parking lots with ramps actually paved at that. As for a hub I carry a spare, they are fairly cheap. And your not a jinx. |

Hehe, really it just happens though. I've been stuck a few times, each time I figured out ways to get enough traction or a few times I got a hand. I think if you just remember the concept of paying it forward, and helping others if they are the ones stuck, its not too much to get ragged on.
Come to think of it, I've been helped out of a jam a few times by absolute strangers. Kinda makes you appreciative to think of it, one was even sporting auburn gear head to toe... |

We got stuck sneaking on a govt. breeding fishery when I was a teenager. I was hollering for my buddy to stradlle the deep ruts, but he drove right off in them. The tires on the back were 6" off the ground because he bottomed out on the axle on dry ground. We walked about 3 miles, this place was in the boonies, and asked this old man to pull us out with his tractor, but he said he wouldn't be caught dead back there. We finally got a hold of a buddy that came and pulled us out. We had a good day fishing while we waited, but I never went back.

The truck is still stuck...They tried a 4 wheel dr truck with a 40ft tow cable....nothing!...He bought 8ton wench and with all the rain that just started ,they still couldnt get it out....I talked to him last night and he said its looking like it'll be there till wed..And he'll either try the wench again,or have to call a company. Its pouring rain today.
Man this sucks.
