Thinking about trying p-line CX.
Well, I've been using CXX in 12lb and love it! Very good stuff. The only thing I don't like about it is the amount of memory it has (it's not to much, it's just less is always better). So I've heard CX has less memory. I know it has 30% lower stretch than comparable line. But how does it compare to CXX in terms of stretch and sensitivity? Will I still get the same sensitivity of CXX when I use CX. And is it still stronger than rated.... if not by a little?
Thanks guys!

I don't know about the stretch and sensitivity comparison but I do know that you will get much less memory with the CX, especially in higher lb test. Use a little KVD Line and Lure or Reel Magic and I think you will be really happy with the results. The CX is definitely considerably stronger than it's rated but not as strong as the CXX. I've pretty much gone from using Yo-Zuri Hybrid on most of my set ups to CX and couldn't be happier, the reason for the switch was the lower memory with CX.

CX has less sensitivity than the CXX. I like the CX a lot on spinning gear, but prefer the CXX on casting. The memory has never bothered me on casting gear because you can get most of it out using a line conditioner. I do use CX on some of my Crankbait rods because of the small diameter.

CX does have slightly less sensitivity but also at the cost of less memory as well, since it is fluoro coated copoly line, whereas CXX is straight copoly.
I prefer either or but right now have CX in both 12 and 6 lb test on spinning reels without a problem. |

A tip I learned about memory on lines....before you take it off the spool, start a pot of boiling water, once it is at a low boild drop the spool of line in for about 20-30 seconds. This removes much of the memory issues with many lines.

I'll stick with the P-Line CX and CXX.
Now I only use Fluro for a leader to my Braid on my Spinning reels or C-Rigs. BTW, Largest Size CX I'm using is 14Lb and in CXX 10Lb. I find it fits my fishing pretty well. Price ain't bad either.
