Trailer sand blasted
I have a trailer that needs slandblasted. It's a Lil Dude for a 14 ft boat. About what can I expect to ppay to have this done?

I have a sand blaster.cabin is about right on the price..adbrasize aint cheap either..

Really?....$1k sounds kinda steep to sandblast a boat trailer - don't mind me, I live in a cave.

You got a drill? go to the hardwaer store and get a few of those wire brushes and do it that way. Then use some roll on bed liner. May not look like a pro job, but better than rusting away.

Well if'n yer gonna DIY, and ya wanna strip most of the old paint, then i'd say forget the handdrill and invest in an inexpensive "grinder/polisher" from some wholesale tool place like Harbor Freight.....grab a couple of abrasive discs(theres are several styles to choose from)and some safety glasses and get after it......it'll way out perform a standard drill and will be worth the $30-$40 spent on it, and you'll be done alot faster.....I've sanded several old car frames that way and it works really well.....Just remember that once you get raw metal exposed that it begins to oxidize, so you need to get some primer/paint, bedliner or something on it as quick as possible to cut down on any possible rusting.
