How do you treat a fish injury?
I added today a marble corycat to my aquarium. It seemed fine for the first half hour, but when i went to check on it its tail was half-eaten already, its missing an eye and is swimming on its side. Its still breathing but how i can i treat its injuries. i dont think its going to make it

Sorry to hear this. If it's not dead by now you can put him in his own little tank or seperate him from the others by way of a net cage in the main tank. Use aquarium salt and aqua safe water conditioner to replace his slime coat. The main thing is to seperate him from the others. What kind of fish were in the tank first? Many fish become territorial and will reject anything new.

jjj,
What you recommend is usually okay for most aquarium fish, but please don't ever add salt to any tank containing corydoras species. They are very sensitive to salt! They come from the Amazon basin, which is known for very soft, low-salinity water. You will add osmotic stress to your cory's list of injuries. In my opinion, you are better off simply isolating the fish so nothing else picks on him, and just hoping that he heals in a week. In my experience, cory's are great little fish but their hardiness is sort of hit-and-miss; some you can't seem to kill, and some are sickly no matter how you baby them.

Haha, Ebbet. I guess you are unfamiliar with cory's. Wouldn't even make a nugget worth. Maybe a Nibblet.
