just ripped off walmart! ha!
Figured you guys would appreciate this, I just got the pinnacle bass master combo (platinum plus reel and rod) which retails for almost 80 dollars for only 35 bucks cuz the brainiacs at walmrt priced it wrong!! Gosh I love a good victory like that.. Ill probably sell it because its not a great combo but for a steal of a price, I couldn't pass it up!

Don;t sell it jsut yet pal. Give it a whirl. You might find a good use for it. And that is a great deal no matter what.

Good deal man. Good luck selling it. If you're not selling it local, it may be tough cause shipping makes buying cheaper tackle not worth it.

That combo is 39 bucks in the Wilkes Barre,Allentown and Home town super Wal Marts here in PA, I do not think thats a mistake but a clearance , see if it has a red price tag. We are shopping for our club giveaways and I saw them to, just have not had much luck with Pinnacle Products. Pinnacle ( go to their site) attemptimg to go to the high end market, and may be unloading some of the every day stuff.
They all had a 2.50 sale on Arbogast and Heddon offerings, stocked up on some 5/8 ounce Jitterbugs for me |

They do that from time to time. I love it. Always a good time to get some Spooks, Jitterbugs, and Hula Poppers.

Ebbets, that sounds like a great deal for you guys in PA but it definately was a mistake where I got it (freehold,nj) only reason I know is because there was about 5 of the same combos sitting there, 4 of em had the normal 49.99 tag on em (which is still a good deal from the average retail) and then there was the one I found which had the 34.99 tag on it. And it wasn't a red clearance tag either. I wish this walmart had those 2.50 deals you were talkin about because I would have loved to capitalize on somethin like that also.

damn good advice there bama... i got to use it today and the reel is definately nothing to write home about (but that was expected), but the rod is actually something i could see being third or fourth in my lineup. it was so much more sensitive then i had expected and it has a comfortable split grip handle. i think next time out ill throw my curado on it and give it a couple casts.
