Default Ice-Out!?!?!?

Just found out today that one of the lakes near where our cabin is was officially declared as reaching ice-out yesterday! We're headed up to our place this weekend, so I'm hoping the 60 and 65 degree weather up there tomorrow and Friday and high winds on Friday will get our lake to ice-out stage also. We'd like to shove the dock and lift in the water if we have ice-out and maybe even put the boat on the lift also if the ice/water situation permits. One month from tomorrow is bass opener - WAHOO!

The last week in April is actually the average ice-out time for "our" lake. Other than being able to put the dock/lift/boat back in the water, it doesn't really matter that it's this late -- bass season never opens until the Saturday before Memorial Day and pike/walleye season only opens two weeks before that.
