After not going out yesterday because the weather forcasters painted a cold, windy, rainy day, "which didn't happen", I decided heck with the forecast and went out this morning. Well, it was cold, windy and rainy, lol. High temp today hit 61. Not too cold but with the rain and wind, it was cold enough. I ended up catching 18 bass total today. I caught 6 off the buzzbait that Nobass sent me. Caught 2 on the Bandit crankbait Secret Santa sent me, 4 on my spinnerbaits, 1 on a jig that BigBassin144 gave me at Wheeler in AL, 3 on a beaver bait t rigged with a 3/8 oz. pegged weight and 2 on a Spro Poppin frog from the lilly pads. The fall turnover was in full swing and the water was very discolored. The grass beds are dying and breaking up which was found floating all over the lake. That made casting a real pain in the a** because it seemed most of your casts would get fouled up in the floating clumps of dead grass.Even a weightless fluke would foul quickly. I got pretty soaked with a few dounpours passing through but no lightning, so just wet. It was worth it though. There are only a few more weeks left before it's time to put the boat away for the winter. They were all pretty small except for one about 4 pounds caught on a frog. Couldn't take a pic of that one as there was a hard rain at the time. The last 2 hours went totally cold with no action. All in all though, not a bad day.
