So, I see a lot of "Good Deal" bragging on this board, and I was wondering if this is a good deal or not...I'll transcribe the C.L. post because I'm afraid someone will "snake" the deal if I actually post the link.
Two(2) revo premiers(L, less than a year old) $115 per or $200 for both. One(1) revo S(L) $80 Two(2) Quantum Catalyst(L, two months old) $65 per or$125 for both or the whole lot for $300 Well, I don't have rods for 'em, I don't really need 'em, but...is it a good deal? |

If you bought the group and resold the Revo S and the two Quantums for $50 apiece or $150 then you'd get two Revo Prems (used) for $75 per..... If they are in great condition I'd say that it's a deal.

Are the Revo Premiers the new ones? If they're less than a year old, they should be. If they're not, someone is lying. If they are the new Revo Premier, than that's a hell of a deal. It would also send up some red flags of the "too good too be true" kind. If they are the old (2009 or prior Premiers), then the price is about par for them right now and the seller lying about the age of the reels should send up a red flag.
Just remember, be very cautious buying online. Get the seller's info and do some research before buying. That could have saved me about $125 a while back. Also, if you don't know or completely trust the seller, pay with a method that protects you like PayPal. That could have also saved me that $125 that the post office couldn't do anything about with their money order. BB

BB144 is correct. The whole deal swings on whether the Premiers are new ones. If not, I'd steer clear, as you have said you don't really need the reels.

The way to tell if a revo premier is the old vs the new is to look at the gold accents... If there's gold then it's a newer one... if there's not its 09 and before.

Top: 2009 and before
Bottom: 2010 and after Both good reels and regardless of which one they are It's still a great deal providing eveything works as advertised.
