Poche really impressed me during Day 1 weigh-in. Didn't know alot about him before that. Seems like a real good kid. I'm proud of him and all the 'Bama boys. We need some MS boys, tho. Where are you Paul Elias?

I didn't see him, but being from Florida I could see him tebowing.... but lakeland is more Seminal's Territory. Either way their's two options.. he did... or he didn't.

You guys need to watch the final weigh-in. That will explain it all. It didn't have anything to do with Tebow as far as I'm concerned. I do believe he was sharing his faith, like Alton Jones also does, just in a different way.

Not a textbook Tebow but he did get down on one knee and raise his right hand in the air. Call it whatever you want but it was clearly an expression of faith/acknowledgement/thanksgiving etc....not a gesture popular with the secular humanist.

Do you think they actually weight the fish before the "official" weigh ins? Just because of the order they weighed them it almost seemed like they did them in that order to make the ending more dramatic. Is there a specific order they weigh in the fish? This was the first classic I have watched and needless to say it was way more entertaining than I thought it'd be. Good for Chris Lane. I really wanted Poche to win he seems like a really down to earth guy. |

not to get technical, but to me, not a fan of tebow eiter, he looked liked he just did it to mmimic him in some way, may need to watch vid again, but more copying him, looked like it was only for a few seconds, i doubt he had any real time to thank God for his win in a thought out way,,...lol ya probably think i am down right nitpicking at straws lol

P.S. - IMO, there is no set amount of time it takes to thank God for something.

i didnt mean he didnt take time, guess my post was ill thought i am not knocking him as i didnt keep up with him mutch, me personally i do know alot of people that start start thanking God, at the right times, again i do not personally know him but agiain just speculating, maybe just to much time on pc, to think about it i d know Alton Jones mention God in every weigh in, my saturaday feed was choppy, so i missed his weigh in, anyway this realy has no point or anything, in the end i dont care, He is a great guy in my opnion. so guess it boils down to nothing..

Seems like he was just genuinely doing it to thank god or w/e. Because when they were interviewing him he did talk about god and thanked him and seemed to be very religious. Basically what im saying is he def did "tebow" but I dont think he was doing it as a joke but was just thanking god. Players in the NFL have done that for years after scoring a TD before the whole tebow thing.
