				 | Fiber glass john boats?

Anyone have any experiences with with these? We don't gotta truck or trailer, anymore. So I'd have to carry it down to the lake (very close by, half a puddle jump!). Found one for a good deal.. 75 bucks OBO, no motor or nothin on it, but I'd probably wind up putting a small 100lb thrust troll motor on it, and my buddies got one I could use till I get one. Not sure the length, but ether 10 or 12 foot, and'll be a 1 - 2 person boat. What you guys think?

That is NOT a small troll motor, that's about as high as you can go and it would have to be a 36v, which means three batteries, just to run it. I think that's too much weight (battey) for that small of a boat. IMO, you should look at a 12v somewhere in the high 40# thrust. | |

I had a 9 or 10 ft. tub bass tracker... no trailer... killed my back loading all the crap in & out 2-3 times... esp. on a steep ramp.. boat kept sliding out before I got it pushed in all the way. Fished outta it for 8-10 years though...funny whe you catch a toad and your out in the middle of the lake spinning around... see in pix below It beats not getting on the water
