				 | How about some pix of your favorite lake

I had permission to fish a lake a few years ago that I was absolutely in love with. It was picture perfect gorgeous. I think you can see why I loved going there and "getting away from it all."

Unfortunately, the overflow for the lake was blocked up by beavers and the CoE came in and blew the levee to reduce the level of the lake. Apparently, they must have miscalculated the amount of explosives they needed because this is how the lake looked last year. I was heartbroken. This was taken from about the same vantage point.

I'd be heartbroken also. That place was something special.

Here are a few pictures of Flint Lake near my home. It's my favorite lake to fish locally. And only about a mile from my home if that. And Mike, that would make me sick to my stomich! That was a beautiful place to be. What a shame.

That's truly awful! My dad used to fish a lake black in Florida when he was in his 20's called Banner Lake. Someone bought the property around the lake and made houses and a golf course. All the chemicals and fertilizers people used on their lawns and plants made the vegetation in the lake boom, it's no more than a puddle now. He caught many 10lb plus fish and several over 15 before the lake was ruined. http://stephenewen.blogspot.com/2009...d-florida.html
