Rain ended as the light wind pampered our dry faces.. too corny.
Yea way too corny. The first cat was 26 inches and we thought we had the cup. ![]() The other boat called Impatient was anchored just north of us. It was catching a lot of blue cats just like us.. All where perfect cooking size. Even landed a few white cats as well. My mouth watered a bit as I released some nice white cats. ![]() Then I hear a screaming drag but it was on the other boat. ![]() Oh well,,, the cup goes to Barefoot again this year. ![]() Congrats as the group enjoy good food and adult drinks as the rain set in upon us. ![]() ![]() ![]() Great day with great fishermen. The chalk lines on the loose gravel had to be the brainchild of the feller on the right after a few adult drinks

I've never tried fishing for the cats there. I know right where you were, with the telltale item in one of the pics. Maybe I'll have to try that, should be a fun ride with one of those big blues connected to my kayak. But seriously - you really eat bottom feeding catfish from the Potomac, especially one of any size? I would be concerned with pollutants, is that an issue? I like catfish and if they are safe for consumption, I would definitely keep one.

The Moo is a hive of higher thinkin like minded fisherman. I started the Moo Cup back in 2009 and have won it twice since then. We have a site and try to keep things very friendly among the 30 or so members. Most are refugees from another site that goes back 20 plus years. Some where banned while others migrated from that old site.
It is sometimes well attended and sometimes not. Still lots of fun. Capt Mike
