I know that the 4.5 inch model of the lake fork magic shad is very versatile and can be retrieved fast or slow with great action. But has anyone used the 3.5 inch version on say a chatterbait or weighted hook and still enjoyed the same great action as the bigger models at any retrieve speed?

I use both models pretty often...The 3.5'' still offer a nice presentation at slower retrieves.

Never tried the 3.5 on a hook alone...I usually use them as trailers but I read people enjoy that way too. One of my top swimbaits

For those of you that have used the magic shad, how is the durability of the lure? I read some mixed reviews about them breaking after a few fish at the thinner sections connecting the segments.

Also, has anyone tried the reaction innovations little dipper or keitech's 3 inch easy shiner as trailers with success? |

I have tried the 3.5's on scrounger jigs, but had durability problems mentioned above, great action though.

The segments are thin and do break after a few fish..But most of my soft plastics only last a few fish....It's never been a deal breaker for me
