I just read the Minn Kota vs Motorguide article today, for the first time.
Yeah....I'm a lil slow.....

On the subject of the service centers for each brand, I don't know if there's a Motorguide service center around here, but I do know where the Minn Kota center is.....took me a while to find.....it's like 40 minutes from here, and I know the town pretty well.
I musta drove past it 3-4 times while trying to find it. Finally saw a sign in a window, advertising authorized Minn Kota service center.

You have to walk into the laundromat, go through a side door and voila!!!!
Don't know why it was so hard to find

Ended up with great service, on a smoke checked motor

Name of the town isn't Mayberry is it? We had a laundromat/car wash in town. It was sold and a beauty shop was placed in the laundromat. They have discount haircuts and I go there to get my hair cut. Talking to the owner and she said she should have kept the laundromat open and closed up the car wash. So I guess more money to be made washing clothes than cars.

Little town that I've roofed half of, it seems.....
On a side note, it's the only MK service center within 50 miles, which really surprised me, since there's some "fairly" large towns within that radius
